Read Nehemiah 3-4.
The people in this passage worked on the wall with all their heart. Describe a time when you put your entire heart into a project and what the end result was.
The people of God filled in the gaps in the walls to protect their neighbors and comrades. Tell about a time in your life when someone “stood in the gap” for you.
Dan talked about the difference between a “me-centered” approach to serving and a “we-centered” approach to serving. How would you define those? Where do you think you stand in regard to both approaches of serving? Explain.
Where are you currently serving at the church? How is that going?
How did you feel when you learned that our church was able to pay off $100,000 in debt because of increased giving last week?
Where are you experiencing opposition presently? How are you responding to it?
Nehemiah was able to lead the people to finish the project strong by remembering God and remembering what was at stake. How might recalling these same things strengthen you to finish strong?
How do you see Jesus in Nehemiah 3-4?

God wants His people to view the world through eyes of faith and to have a holy ambition to see that vision become reality. This 9-week sermon series on the book of Nehemiah will help us to discover the eternally-significant things God wants to accomplish through our lives, and help us become the sort of people who have the courage and conviction to make a difference for the glory of God.
